Decision Point

Determine how many locations will participate in the POC.

Action

Prepare a dedicated server (VM) to host the 2PXE server. Disks:

  • C: (OS) – 100 GB

  • D: (Data) – 200 GB

  • Memory: 16 GB RAM

  • vCPU: 4

Decision Point

Determine if 2Pint Team will have remote access to POC environment. If so, provide the following:

  • Domain User Account

  • VPN Access

  • 2PXE server access

  • Configuration Manager Permissions (if applicable)

Action

Open any Firewall Ports as documented .

Action

Add Antivirus Exclusions as documented .

Decision Point

Determine whether to implement IP Helpers (Recommended) or DHCP Scope Options for remote subnets. See for more information.

Action

Configure either IP Helpers or DHCP Scope Options at the locations participating in the pilot.

Action

Install the 2PXE Server following.

Action

Boot PXE Clients on test subnets
